Tell us about the costume.

I’ve always loved Aurora. Probably because she’s one of the more mature princesses. She has a longer face and an actual jawline which doesn’t just blend in to her neck. She’s kind of a little bratty. I fell in love with her voice as a kid and her cute little loophole of having met this stranger in a dream. She gets a lot of crap for being asleep for a lot of her story, but I think that shows that it wasn’t just a movie about her. I feel like it was more of a love story than a lot of other Disney movies. The fact that Phillip fought so hard and risked his life to save her was so sweet. The other princes just sort of stuck a shoe on their girl or kissed her dead body. Phillip slayed a freaking magical dragon for his gal.

What do you love about it? Any special memories?

I thought it was a very flattering costume. More than her princess dress at least. I loved twirling around in the skirt and just being princessy. Reactions of little girls just warmed my heart so much. Also the other Disney cosplayers are just always so great.
